Frequently Asked Questions

What is independent living?

Independent living is a residential option that gives adults aged 62 and better, who are independent and do not need assistance with activities of daily living, the opportunity to live on their own while enjoying community benefits, including maintenance-free residences, services, amenities, socialization, and more.

What is included in my monthly fee?

There are two financial components with most Life Plan Communities like The Winsberg: the entrance fee and the monthly fee.

  • Entrance fee: This is a one-time fee paid when you move into the community. It’s based on the square footage of the residence you choose, your contract type, and whether it will be just you or you and your spouse living in that residence. A portion of the entrance fee may be refundable.
  • Monthly fee: This helps pay for the services and amenities at the community. Depending on your contract, the monthly fee will not increase if you move to a higher level of care.

What costs are associated with moving to The Winsberg?

The decision to move to a community like The Winsberg is entirely yours – but there are many advantages to living in a Life Plan Community!

Should the need for advanced services arise, Assisted Living and Memory Care are offered at a discounted rate.

“I’m looking forward to living in a community where everything is new. I’m also looking forward to someone else doing all the work! I currently live in my own home and keeping up with all the chores and upkeep is becoming too much for me. Not to mention the cost. Moving into a brand-new, maintenance-free home is very appealing.”
